Passengers injured as RTC bus hits a tractor in Karimnagar
The passengers in an RTC bus were seriously injured in a road accident that took place on the Rajiv Rahadari in Renikunta village of Thimmapur mandal in Karimnagar district on Tuesday.

Karimnagar: The passengers in an RTC bus were seriously injured in a road accident that took place on the Rajiv Rahadari in Renikunta village of Thimmapur mandal in Karimnagar district on Tuesday.
An RTC bus (TS21 Z 0116) belonging to Metpally depot coming from Hyderabad and going towards Karimnagar hit a tractor carrying paddy from behind on the outskirts of Renikunta. In this accident, the tractor driver and 15 passengers in the bus were seriously injured.
On receiving information, the LMD police reached the spot and with the help of locals, shifted the injured to Karimnagar Government Hospital for treatment and regulated traffic. It is learnt that the accident happened as the bus driver was sleepy. The grain bags in the tractor fell on the road due to the accident.
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar expressed shock over the accident. The Minister, who is on a visit to Manipur, spoke to the Karimnagar District Collector, doctors of the government hospital and asked them to ensure better medical treatment for the injured.
Bandi Sanjay expressed concern about the series of road accidents in the state and asked the government to pay special attention to the safety of passengers.
